Garage & Shed Clean-Ups Sydney — Get the Space Back
Twenty years of stored stuff, sorted and gone in a visit: you point, we carry, usable gear is donated rather than tipped, and the chemicals go to the right stream instead of the truck. And if the shed turns out to be fibro — like half the sheds in Sydney — we’re licensed to deal with that too.

What comes out
Everything You’ve Been Meaning to Deal With
A garage fills up one Saturday at a time and empties all at once. Bring us the doorway photo — the one where you can’t see the back wall — and we’ll bring the truck.
- Decades of stored boxes, furniture and forgotten projects
- Tools, timber, offcuts and hardware — sorted, not just tipped
- Old whitegoods, mowers, bikes and exercise equipment
- Green waste, pavers, pots and garden leftovers
- Paint tins and household chemicals — separated for the correct stream
- The junk layer at the back nobody has faced since the move
The pre-1990 problem
Half of Sydney’s Sheds Have a Secret
Fibro walls, super-six roofs, asbestos-cement offcuts stacked behind the mower — if your shed or garage went up before 1990, there’s a fair chance some of it is asbestos. A general rubbish crew has to put the sheet down and walk away. We don’t: HazWreck is a licensed Class B asbestos contractor, so the moment fibro shows up, the clean-up becomes a licensed job with the right containment, disposal and dockets — same crew, same day where the scope allows.
Shed itself the problem? See asbestos garage & shed removal for taking the structure down, or demolition for timber and steel sheds — slab and footings included if you want lawn back.
- Fibro confirmed before anyone touches the pile
- Removal under Class B licence AD214755
- EPA disposal dockets for every asbestos load
- Independent assessor clearance where removal is involved
- Clean-up and demolition available as one scope

Garage & Shed Clean-Ups — Frequently Asked Questions
What if the shed itself is fibro (asbestos)?
Very common — a big share of Sydney sheds and garages built before 1990 are asbestos cement. If the structure is fibro, or broken fibro sheets turn up in the pile, we confirm the material and handle it under our SafeWork NSW Class B licence (AD214755) with EPA disposal dockets, and clearance by an independent licensed assessor where removal is involved. The clean-up and the asbestos work run as one job — see our asbestos garage and shed page for removing the structure itself.
Do you take paint, oil and garden chemicals?
We separate them from the load rather than carting them as general rubbish — that’s the legal and honest answer. Sealed household paint tins and common chemicals are set aside for the correct disposal stream, and we’ll tell you straight on the day what we can take with us and what needs a chemical collection.
Can you do it while I’m at work?
Yes, if access is sorted — a side gate, a code or a neighbour with a key. You’ll get before-and-after photos and the disposal dockets, and anything you flagged to keep is left exactly where you said.
How does pricing work?
On volume and access, with a written fixed price before we start — a single garage bay prices very differently from a packed double garage with a mezzanine, and a rear-lane carry adds handling. Photos get you a straight same-day answer, and the price doesn’t move once it’s in writing.
Can you demolish the shed too?
Yes — emptying the shed is this page; taking the structure down is our demolition crew, under the same company and often in the same visit. A fibro shed comes down under our asbestos licence, a timber or steel one as straight demolition, and the slab and footings can go too if you want the space back to lawn.
While the truck’s there…
One Crew for the Whole Backyard Job
Plenty of garage clean-ups end with “actually, can the shed go too?” — and with HazWreck, it can. Clean-up, asbestos, demolition and the rest of the house’s rubbish, one contractor, one docket trail.

Garage and shed clean-ups are not a licensed trade in NSW; asbestos removal is. Suspect fibro is confirmed before work continues, and any asbestos is removed under SafeWork NSW Class B licence AD214755 with EPA disposal dockets.
